Michelin Certification

Nou Transport has received a Michelin certification for its sustainable and efficient tire usage practices. This achievement recognizes our active commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and building a cleaner future.

For years, we have trusted Michelin as our tire supplier for our fleet. We equip all our trucks with the latest generation Michelin X Line tires, which are a market reference in terms of safety, energy efficiency, and longevity. This allows us to ensure safe and responsible mobility throughout the tire’s lifecycle.

A single letter improvement in the fuel efficiency rating can result in savings of up to 1 liter per 100 km. Over a year, for a truck traveling 120,000 km, this equates to a reduction of 3 tons of CO2.

Additionally, we practice tire retreading, which increases mileage by up to 25%, reduces raw material consumption by 70 kg for every 4 tires, and decreases fuel consumption by up to 2 liters per 100 km. This translates into a total of 1.6 tons less CO2 per truck per year.

We also advocate for the use of Michelin Remix retreaded tires, an eco-responsible solution that reduces the number of new tires needed, thus decreasing the consumption of natural resources and energy.

A retreaded tire saves 50 kg of raw materials, and for every 100 retreaded tires, CO2 emissions are reduced by 6 tons.

Our commitment to efficiency and eco-responsibility drives us to continuously innovate in the transportation sector. We will continue to apply best practices during the tire usage phase to maintain our contribution to CO2 emissions reduction.
