Lleida Motor Trucks: The New Official Volvo Workshop Reinforcing Transport in Lleida
Lleida Motor Trucks is now a reality, emerging from the joint efforts of Nou Transport and Trota, two family businesses with extensive experience in the transport sector. Their shared vision has given life to a new Volvo Trucks & Buses workshop that aims to be the benchmark for transport professionals and companies in the province. Their mission is clear: to provide maintenance, repair, original spare parts, and specialized technical support, all meeting the quality standards required by Volvo.
It is built on a 14,000 m² plot, with 2,600 m² constructed, of which 2,000 m² are dedicated to the workshop area. It features 10 lanes and 20 workstations, plus 4 pits, an overhead crane, a bodywork and paint section, a tachograph service, an area for trailers, maintenance for gas vehicles, and charging points for electric vehicles. The facilities are air-conditioned throughout and equipped with modern tools and ergonomic design. A resting area with sofas, tables, and showers has been set up for customers, and there is also a flexible system for vehicle collection and delivery in a specific zone. The workshop is staffed by a team of 22 people, a large stock of spare parts, courtesy vehicles for long-term repairs, and personalized attention, all with the goal of minimizing downtime and offering efficient service.
What Lleida Motor Trucks Offers
- Fully equipped official Volvo workshop, with technical resources, appropriate machinery, and qualified personnel.
- Close service for freight transport: quick attention for fleets, trucks, and industrial vehicles operating in Lleida and the surrounding area.
- Supply of original Volvo spare parts, ensuring compatibility, safety, durability, and official warranty.
- Repairs and maintenance, complying with brand protocols to preserve performance, emissions, and reliability.
Advantages of an Official Volvo Workshop
- Continuous training for technical staff: Official Volvo workshops follow brand standards in training, diagnostics, and the use of specific tools.
- Use of original Volvo spare parts: Parts manufactured to integrate with the vehicle’s systems, complying with warranties and regulatory improvements.
- Guarantee of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance (emissions, safety, etc.).
The launch of the project marks a milestone not only for the promoting companies but also for the transport sector in the province of Lleida. With modern facilities, appropriate technology, and qualified personnel, the workshop will promote more agile and localized service for transporters in the area. This type of initiative has a territorial impact: it strengthens the local technical support chain, reduces travel times for repairs, and ultimately improves the operational efficiency of those working in freight transport.
The Inaugural Event: Institutional and Sector Support
The inauguration was attended by institutional authorities, Volvo executives, and the founding partners themselves, who highlighted the project’s relevance in their speeches. The event concluded with a cocktail and a networking space, where sector guests could exchange impressions. This type of event not only celebrates a launch but also serves to reinforce the project’s visibility within the business and social environment.
Future Challenges and Expectations
With the inauguration of Phase 1 of the future Lleida Truck Center, the challenge will be to consolidate operations, gain the trust of the local transport community, and demonstrate that technical proximity is not at odds with high quality standards. In the medium term, the goal could be to expand services, incorporate advanced technologies, and promote loyalty programs with transport clients. Furthermore, from a strategic perspective, this project can become a replicable model in other areas with a concentration of transport activity, reinforcing Volvo’s presence and providing a sustainable and professional technical support infrastructure.
