This year, we have taken a major step forward in the modernization of our logistics operations with the complete renewal of our fleet of car carrier trucks. As part of this initiative, we have exclusively incorporated units of the new Volvo FM, one of the most advanced truck models on the market in terms of efficiency, driver comfort, and environmental performance.
Our choice to rely on the Volvo FM is part of a continuous improvement strategy aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, raising safety standards, and reducing the environmental impact of our transport activity.
Comfort and Safety for Drivers
The new Volvo FM trucks feature a completely redesigned cab that stands out for its spaciousness, sound insulation, and ergonomic layout. The optimized driving position greatly helps to reduce fatigue during long hauls, a critical factor in the demanding context of long-distance vehicle transport.
In terms of safety, the Volvo FM includes some of the most advanced driver assistance technologies available, such as automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and Volvo dynamic steering. These innovations significantly improve road safety for both the driver and surrounding vehicles.
Sustainability as a Core Value
One of the key goals of this fleet renewal has been to minimize our environmental footprint. Thanks to enhanced technologies such as the optimized Euro 6 engine and improved aerodynamics, we have succeeded in reducing fuel consumption by up to 9% compared to previous-generation models.
This improvement translates into an estimated reduction of 626 tons of CO₂ emissions per year, a tangible contribution to our sustainability and corporate responsibility commitments. These benefits also help improve overall service efficiency in a long-term, sustainable way.
