CO2 Emissions Results

We present the updated results of our CO₂ emissions, aiming to maintain transparency in our operations. These figures reflect our environmental performance over the evaluated annual period.

 

Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions

In 2024, at Nou Transport we recorded a total of 13,741.40 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This figure is divided into two main categories:

• Scope 1 – Direct emissions: 13,718.04 tCO₂-eq, originating directly from our operations, such as the use of our vehicle fleet and other fuel-powered equipment.
• Scope 2 – Indirect emissions: 23.35 tCO₂-eq, generated by electricity consumption in our facilities.

These results reflect a tangible improvement in our environmental commitment. They are the result of our ongoing efforts to operate more responsibly and sustainably. Every step we take brings us closer to a cleaner, more efficient transport model, and that motivates us to keep moving forward.

 

Environmental Benefits from Solar Energy – 2024

As part of our continued commitment to clean energy, we have maintained strong investment in solar power generation at our main facilities. In 2024, this effort led to significant environmental benefits we are proud to share.

• In Castellbisbal, our photovoltaic installation helped us avoid 72.80 tonnes of CO₂ emissions and achieve a savings equivalent to 61.30 tonnes of coal.
• In Vilamalla, we prevented 36.73 tonnes of CO₂ emissions and saved 30.93 tonnes of coal.
• In Lleida, where performance was particularly strong, we avoided 119.37 tonnes of CO₂ emissions and saved 100.52 tonnes of coal.

These figures show that we are on the right track. Efficiently harnessing solar energy not only reduces our carbon footprint but also brings us closer to a more sustainable energy model in the transport sector.

 

Overall Conclusion

The results we achieved in 2024 confirm that we are making steady progress in our sustainability strategy.

A key part of this progress has been the renewal of our fleet and the integration of more efficient technologies, which has significantly reduced direct emissions. We have also worked to optimize electricity use in our facilities, keeping indirect emissions under control. In addition, the positive impact of our solar installations continues to grow, giving us greater energy self-sufficiency.
